Hasbro has unveiled Optimus Prime: Awakening, a new 12-minute CG-animated short created for the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie. Peter Cullen delivers his final original performance as Optimus Prime, with Frank Welker returning as Megatron and Soundwave. The short will premiere with the film’s 4K theatrical screenings beginning September 17, 2026.
