Let’s talk about radioactive justice! When a downtrodden janitor, Winston Gooze, is exposed to a catastrophic toxic accident, he’s transformed into a new kind of hero: The Toxic Avenger. Toxie must rise from outcast to savior, taking on ruthless corporate overlords and corrupt forces who threaten his son, his friends, and his community. In a world where greed runs rampant… justice is best served radioactive.
This one is an oddball blend of genres — comedy, action, and horror all in one gooey mutant package. It’s campy, crude, and at times hilarious. There’s always someone making a wild offscreen comment, and the whole thing leans into its absurdity.
Peter Dinklage is a blast to watch as Toxie. And with supporting faces like Elijah Wood, Kevin Bacon, and Jacob Tremblay, there’s no shortage of star power. The movie clocks in at 1 hour and 42 minutes, and while it may not be for everyone, if you like genre-busting weirdness, this could be your jam. Oh — and don’t miss the post-credit scene!
Final verdict: The Toxic Avenger is a B-movie buffet with A-list seasoning.
